Muhaisnah is in the northeast of Dubai. It is one of the few settlements constructed close to the border between Sharjah and Dubai. Muhaisnah is near the Al Qusais Industrial Area in Dubai and the Industrial Area in Sharjah. There are four sub-communities in the area: Muhaisnah 1, 2, 3, and 4. Muhaisnah 1 is primarily a residential area with villas and schools.

Muhaisnah 2, a community disconnected from neighboring villages, is made up of labor camps. Muhaisnah 3 is primarily a villa area, but Muhaisnah 4 comprises both apartment buildings and commercial spaces. Among the most well-liked residents of the community are working professionals and small families who reside in apartment buildings. Larger families, however, choose to live in villa communities.
